KIDNEY CANCER
Kidney cancer
Kidney cancer affects the kidneys and is relatively common. It usually starts in the lining of the small tubes within the kidneys, with higher rates connected to smoking, obesity, and hypertension.
Causes
The root cause of kidney cancer remains unknown. It occurs when kidney cells mutate in their DNA, leading to unregulated cell growth and division. These abnormal cells accumulate to form tumors that can invade and spread.
Signs and symptoms of Kidney Cancer
- Hematuria (blood in urine)
